PURPOSE OF RESEARCH

(a) For scientific investigations

Hypothesis / Engineering Goals

Independent variable

Dependent variable

Constants

(b) For social sciences/exploratory research

Aims of research:
We have chosen this topic, as we want to find out and improve the situation of late homework submission.
This allows us to quicken the learning in SST and lighten the burden of the teachers as well as students.
This topic benefits both students and teachers as it helps us to manage our time between work and play. This may also benefit parents of students because they sometimes have to be disturbed by calls made by teachers when their child did not hand in homework on time.

Subject(s) of study:
SST students and teachers

RELEVANCY OF RESEARCH

  1. Why is your research important?
Late homework submission can affect the students’ learning as it slows down the pace of learning and the students would lack behind. Without our research, this situation would not improve. Furthermore, work will accumulate and students would have less time to study or relax.

  2. How does it contribute to existing body of knowledge?
Students will be more aware of the effects that late homework submission has on them.

  3. How does your research contribute to/impact the society or community?
The students would be able to improve this situation and they would not lack behind others in their learning.

SCOPE OF RESEARCH

The "scope" section is where you list what you are doing. The "bounds" section is where you set the boundaries and you list some thing explicitly that you are not doing because they are outside the bounds of the project.

LITERATURE REVIEW

  1. What are the current research available/ you have come across?

  2. Summarise the research articles that you have encountered which may be useful to your research
METHODOLOGY

Procedures
  1. How are you going to gather data?
We are going to gather data by doing surveys and interviews with teachers and students
  1. How are you going to collate data?
Survey monkey is a good website to do the website and have the data collated.
  1. How are you going to sift and sort data i.e. which data is important?
We will sort the data by class , level and gender to make the results even

Data Analysis
  1. How are you going to analyse the data?
We read the responses given by the teachers and students and categorize it to generalize the responses
  1. How are you going to present the data?
We will present the data on graphs , according the category of response

Bibliography
1. Provide references to all the
